《A Tour to Lijiang》

I heard that Lijiang was a very beautiful city when I was young. I travelled there in a holiday with my parents. I went there by plane. I saw there were many mountains when I got out the plane. The air was fresh.

We went to the Lijiang Gucheng the first day, and we bought some interesting things and had a good meal in the Lijiang Gucheng. On the second day, we went to the Yulong snowy mountain. It was beautiful, and it was my first time I had seen the snow. I played with the snow happily. My father told me that Yulong snow mountain was a famous place in China, many people came here every year.

I was happy throughout this trip, because it was even better than Beijing!

An administrative division in northwestern Yunnan Province, Lijiang (Chinese: 丽江市; pinyin: Lìjiāngshì) has a population of 1,100,000. The famous Lijiang old town (more correctly called the Dayan old town) has a history of over 800 years and was once a confluence for trade along the old tea horse road. The Lijiang old town is famous for its orderly system of waterways and bridges. It has been called the Venice of the East. The old town of Lijiang differs from other ancient Chinese cities in architecture, history and the culture of its traditional residents, the Naxi people. One third of the town was destroyed by an earthquake in February 1996. Recently, the government has started to develop additional old city sections adjacent to the site of the original old city to accommodate the large number of tourists. Evenings in the old city can be particularly rowdy, not least due to the many outdoor bars. The Lijiang Sifu Yashe Boutique Inn is located in the central area of Wuyi Street in the ancient city of Lijiang, with a very advantageous location. It takes only 3 minutes to walk to Sifang Street. The inn consists of four traditional Naxi courtyards, covering an area of more than 1,200 square meters. It is a rare large courtyard in the ancient city. The clear stream flows in front of the courtyard. The courtyard is surrounded by water, with unique plank roads, fragrant flowers and green grass.
